Free public guided tours in Slovenian language are held every first Sunday of the month.

Discover the history of Slovenes in the 20th century with a free guided tour in English at the National Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia in Ljubljana. Join us for a public tour of the permanent exhibition Slovenes in the 20th Century.
The tour begins in 1914 on the front lines of the First World War, continues through the interwar years and the occupation of Slovenian territory during the Second World War, and concludes with the postwar period, the 1980s, the Slovenian Ten-Day War, and Slovenian independence.
The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, the maximum number of participants is 30. To reserve a spot, simply express your interest at the reception desk on the day of the tour.
Guided tours are available to groups of foreigners in a foreign language by prior arrangement. We divide larger groups into several smaller groups and lead them with a fifteen-minute delay.

We offer engaging guided tours of the permanent exhibition, specially designed for school groups. During the tour, pupils and students explore an immersive exhibition on 20th-century Slovenian history, discovering inspiring stories along the way. Our tours are interactive, featuring a variety of didactic tools to enhance learning. The standard tour lasts 60 minutes, but for those with a deeper interest, it can be extended to 90 minutes for a more in-depth experience.

The multi-sensory tour is mainly intended for families with children. On the tour, we get to know a certain historical period and involve as many senses as possible. The tour is suitable for a small group of people.
Public tours take place after prior announcement and on various occasions, which we announce on our webpage.
The tour is possible both for the permanent and the occasional exhibition. Tour takes approximately 90 minutes and is designed both for visitors with visual and hearing impairments.
