The Power of Objects: The Museum’s Collection of Objects from Prisons and Camps

The aim of the exhibition is to present various objects made by prisoners and camp inmates in occupation prisons and camps, and kept by the National Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia in the Collection of Objects from Prisons and Camps. The exhibition mainly presents groups of objects that bear written names, either of the authors or of the persons to whom the object was dedicated and  are as a personal souvenir or intimate emotional object, a powerful tool of communication.

A heart in two compartments, made of cardboard and covered with bright red silk fabric. On the outside there is an inscription: ZORA. Inside there are 8 heart-shaped leaves sewn with the inscription: Moji dragi Zori! (To my dear Zora!) Vida 10.X.1943.
