A booklet was kept by Jožef Berčon in KL Dachau. He was arrested on 8 August 1942 in Litija, district Stein(Kamnik), and sent to the camp via the Austrian Gestapo in Innsbruck. He arrived at KL Dachau on 8 January 1943, where he was assigned camp identification number 41883. Fifty-five dedications and inscriptions of Slovenian, Czech and Polish fellow prisoners were made after the liberation of the camp, when the camp inmates were waiting to go home.
A personal dedication to Berčon was also written by the self-taught painter Milan Lorbek.
