Memorial Book of Academic Sculptor Marjan Keršič – Belač (May 18, 1920 – June 3, 2003) on the occasion of the unveiling of his monument to the poet Karel Destovnik – Kajuh (December 13, 1922 – February 22, 1944) in Celje on May 24, 1965:
“I created Kajuh’s figure in a pose that his fellow combatants of the XIV Division often saw him in. My brother PAVLE, known by his partisan name JEŽEK (Little Hedgehog), also took part in the division’s march and endured its fiercest battles and wounds caused by mines. He told me that Kajuh used to clench his fist while marching or giving speeches in front of the division and that he wore a simple English military blouse.”
