Medals and Decorations Collection
The Collection is organised into decorations (or orders), medals and insignia. The bulk of the material dates back to the National Liberation War (1941-1945) and socialist Yugoslavia (1945-1991), with a selection of medals from Austro-Hungary and from the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. In addition to the exceptional examples of partisan decorations (medal of Bravery, the Order of the Slovenian Liberation Flag and the Order of the Partisan Star), which were never awarded, the Museum keeps the highest national and foreign decorations that were awarded to prominent Slovenian politicians at the time of socialist Yugoslavia.
