The Jože Vrč Fonds (1947-1970)

Born in Austria in 1944, Jože Vrč took his first photography course at the School of Chemical Laboratory in Ruše in 1960. Around 1970, he first sent photographs to a group exhibition in Belgrade and later to other countries around the world. He received 5 honors, 33 awards and 6 diplomas. His photographs were taken, among other things, into the state collection in Driebergen, Germany. He is the holder of the title candidate for the master of photography, awarded by the Slovenian Photographic Association.
In 2017, the photographer submitted to the Museum all of his work, which is currently in the process of being documented and edited. These are 430 black and white leica images and 720 black and white 30 x 40 cm photographs. The photos show different thematic sets: landscape, act, infra photography, structures, portraits, ballet, urban impression, etc.
