I cannot see my parents and my sister as often as I did in the past. Breakfasts and lunches where we all gathered  are unfortunately cancelled. The closest thing to sharing a meal are  videoconferences -  we can still act silly and  elicit some laughter; it helps in passing the time and strenghtens the bonds between the family

"Touch from the other side" - a night watch a few weeks ago. I found the photo while cleaning my phone, but (now that I see it with rested brain) I find it too cinematic to throw it away. Patient brought by ambulance, suspected of being infected with Covid-19. Internal Alarm at the Infection Clinic was on, corridors empty except protected personnel, which transfers it to the "gray zone". A place where everyone is considered positive until we get a swab. Where you enter only in special personal protective equipment and only when absolutely necessary.
After examining the patient, talking to him, and prescribing therapy, you often remember that you have not gone deep enough through the documentation. It is not acceptable to use another set of equipment just to go and have another read at the papers (which, if labeled "impure", are closed with the patients). At that point, a nurse comes to the rescue who is just setting up the patient and shows you the relevant documents through the double glass walls. The text is blurry - I know doctors write badly, but it's not so bad! The picture was created for to ease the work, and remained as a remembrance of times that will (hopefully soon!) be again as unimaginable as they were before the pandemic.

This afternoon makes a weird sense, after morning work from home at the computer (while there is still work to do). More useful than a mask is a bandana which I rinse in boiling water after use. Well, the news that tomorrow is all right is April Fools. #stayathome #homemade

The wave of my well-being is strongly linked to the possibility of expression. I look for ways that sometimes, in the absence of a community, create feelings of anxiety and loneliness. This pushes me into a creative process in which data flowing through the internet resonate. They connect to my feelings, reflections, and during the sound bath of my favorite music, poems, posters, photoshop creations and this record emerge. The word of quarantine: art.

My daughter Tereza turned 6 on Thursday. We celebrated with relatives briefly via videoconference and sang to her at candles at home-made muffins. Our neighbor Ema, who had been visiting the same kindergarten with Teresa and had not met her for more than a month, also heard our singing through an open window. Ema and her mom prepared a surprise for Tereza, which they glued to our front door. The surprise gift is in the photo.

Why staying home? I read various comments about coronavirus... from the conspiracy theory to the fact that they want to destroy us psychologically and physically, that the virus is a fabrication... thus I have not yet realized that this is the work of extraterrestrials. I won't discuss about what is true and what not, because the post is somehow not meant to be that. However, something is certain – coronavirus is not a joke, because if it were so innocent, then the situation in hospitals would not be so aggravated. A week ago, spots began to appear on Tereza. Since I did not want to just run to the health center, I was connected with pediatrician through mail. On Wednesday, the situation was already chaotic ... admission to the health center in the corona ambulance, disinfection, protective masks, checkup ... call to the pediatrician ... we were sent to Ljubljana. Because Tereza had a low fever (37.6), we were also referred from pediatrics to an infection clinic, suspecting the corona virus ... I was trying to explain she needed a cream for the spots that this is not corona. However, we had to wait in front of the infection clinic, disinfecting ... we have seen ambulances ... tired medical professionals... and we were accepted to the clinic for observation 😮😮😮 ... we just went there for the cream. Tereza otherwise thought that this was masquerade. A special corridor to the room, doctors like in a sci-fi movie, you are housed in a room ... we didn't have anything with us, no pajamas, Žuža, nothing ... we missed dinner, you can't go to the vending machine, the only thing you have is a couple of m2 large room, window and a TV. There is a special protocol, all transactions are performed through the window: talking to the doctor, the hospital attendant, the nurse… We were negative on the corona test. BTW, probably this is not an exercise to check if the healthcare works in such a situation. 🙈🙈🙈🙈  What Teresa has exactly, we don't know, it can be an allergy, it can be something dermatological. In spite of everything, hats off to ALL the medical professionals, who did their best!!!! Thanks 10000-times. Additionally, the Tereza was starting to lose her mind around 11 in the morning, she walked around the room in a circle, used nasty words and shouted: “LET ME OUT OF THE PRISON!” Dear all, STAY HOME, despite the conspiracy theory, corona is unfortunately not a joke!!! #ostanidoma thank you Dr. Rajer Sečnik and nurse Špela, thank you Dr. Tomažič and all the staff of the children's department IK III 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 and Nooo, I do not want to go there again, so we stay home 😷😷😷😘😘😘😘💪💪💪💪😉

I'm Bernarda Tušar, born Ornik, 3 September 1972 in Maribor.

Due to the variety of life challenges, I am writing my diploma somewhere on the other side of Slovenia (in Kanomlja), only now, at the age of 47. The abundance of books I have collected prior to the introduction of quarantine as a study literature for the preparation of the theoretical part of my thesis, in given circumstances, offers me open fields of wealth of (professional) content, which I am deeply devoted to because I feel that I have time.

Our corona base (which used to be a bedroom) I had enough of typing at the kitchen table between school notebooks, lunches and fruit snacks, therefore I brought a bright blue table from the basement that moved with me at least five times. I put it in the bedroom, my older son lent me a light and I have a mini office. I watch the boys sleep (mom, I would sleep with you, I feel better next to you) and type... Unfortunately, I don't read the books yet that I always wanted to read, same goes for the series and movies from my list... But we relax together in the morning and watch Izodrom show together. That is a good side of working from home.
