Man’s Swimsuit

JUNE

Museum object of the month is man’s swimsuit, which Mr. Ivan Zabukovec from Stari trg pri Ložu, bought in 1970 at Modna hiša (Fashion house) in Ljubljana and wore it on holidays, which he spent with his family in Selce (Croatia). It was donated by his granddaughter Nives Otoničar in a collecting campaign during guest exhibition »They Never Had it  Better? Modernization of Everyday Life in Socialist Yugoslavia «.

Swimsuits, swimming and holidays are in close conection with tourism, also presented in guest exhibition, open till June 30 2017.
Tokratni predmet meseca, moške kopalke, je gospod Ivan Zabukovec, iz Starega trga pri Ložu kupil leta 1970 v ljubljanski Modni hiši in jih nosil na počitnicah, ki jih je z družino preživel v Selcah na Hrvaškem.

Muzeju jih je podarila vnukinja Nives Otoničar ob zbiralni akciji v času gostovanja razstave »Nikoli jim ni bilo bolje? Modernizacija vsakdanjega življenja v socialistični Jugoslaviji«. Kopalke, kopanje in počitnice so tudi v tesni povezavi s turizmom, ki ga med drugim predstavlja gostujoča razstava, ki je na ogled do 30. junija 2017.
