How to Find Us?
The National Museum of Contemporary History is housed in the Cekin Mansion, in Tivoli Park, in the centre of Ljubljana. You can get there on foot, by car, by bus or by bike (you can rent a city bike). If you choose the first or the last option, follow the streets that lead from the city centre to the park. The avenue of trees will lead you past the fountains and playgrounds to the open doors of the Cekin Mansion – a baroque mansion which is home to the National Museum of Contemporary History.
If you go by car, you can park in the Tivoli car park (Tivoli I or Tivoli II), which can be accessed from Celovška road (Celovška cesta). The Tivoli Hall (Hala Tivoli) and the National Museum of Contemporary History are just a few steps away. If you decide to use public transport, the city buses numbers 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 25 will take you to the Tivoli bus stop. From here, simply head towards the park. After about 100 metres, you will arrive at the Cekin Mansion. The museum is 1.5 km away from the main bus station and railway station in Ljubljana.
